How it works
How does the check work?
We match the brand against our signal base: the trust score (6 components), licences confirmed against regulator registers, EU regulator blocklists, consolidated sanctions lists (EU, UK, OFAC, UN), the Trustpilot rating and affiliate-program reputation from Affiliate Guard Dog. The output is a three-level verdict plus a per-signal breakdown.
What do the verdict levels mean?
"Looks legitimate" — the brand is licensed, the trust score is high and there are no red flags. "Use caution" — some signals are fine but others are not (mid score, a single block, affiliate-program warnings). "High risk" — low trust score, blocks in two or more countries, sanctions hits, or predatory affiliate terms.
Is this a guarantee the casino won't cheat you?
No. It is an automated indicator based on public data, not legal or financial advice. Even licensed brands have player disputes. Always verify the licence in the regulator's own register and read the terms yourself.
Why is a brand missing?
We track operators with meaningful search demand and/or public licences. Brand-new, tiny or fully unregulated brands may be absent — which is itself a reason for caution.
How often is the data updated?
Trust scores and history are recomputed monthly, licences and blocks are reconciled with registers regularly, and sanctions lists frequently. The last-checked date is shown on the full brand page.
How is this different from the brand page?
The brand page is the full report with every metric, chart and history. The legit check is a compressed one-screen verdict for a quick decision; it always links through to the full report.
Do you charge for a favourable verdict?
No. The verdict is computed by an algorithm using the same rules for every brand. We do not sell placements or run ad links in this section.
