Senior Big Data Engineer - GiG

GiG (Gaming Innovation Group) is a technology and services provider to the iGaming industry, supplying platform, media and sportsbook solutions to operators across regulated markets in Europe and beyond.

GiG is looking to hire a Senior Big Data Engineer for a six-month project in its Data department, taking ownership of the analysis, design, building and support of major real-time big data projects.

GiG offers a hybrid working model, international health insurance and a wellbeing package across its offices in Malta, Spain and beyond.

Design, create and maintain ETL processes, data integrations and data pipelines
Develop high-performance services to process, store and analyse large datasets using optimised code
Design and implement data validation and quality checks tailored to business needs
Troubleshoot live production systems and test and implement new technologies

Strong experience designing and building ETL processes and big data pipelines
Ability to develop high-performance services for large-scale data processing
Experience troubleshooting live production data systems
Innovative mindset, keeping up to date with relevant new technologies
