About Big Time Gaming
Big Time Gaming (BTG) is an Australian casino game studio founded in 2011 in Surry Hills, Sydney, by Nik Robinson, Huw McIntosh and Ian Schmidt. In April 2021, Evolution AB announced the acquisition of Big Time Gaming for up to EUR 450 million, with BTG now sitting alongside NetEnt, Red Tiger and Ezugi within Evolution's RNG slot-content portfolio, releasing around 10-12 new titles per year.
BTG is the inventor of Megaways™, one of the most influential slot mechanics of the modern era, first introduced with Dragon Born and popularised through Bonanza and White Rabbit Megaways. Megaways™ has since been licensed to more than 100 third-party studios worldwide, and BTG has extended its Mega-family of mechanics to include Megaclusters™, Megapays™ and Megapots™, powering flagship titles such as Extra Chilli, Danger High Voltage and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Megaways™.
BTG holds a Swedish Gaming Software Licence direct from Spelinspektionen, with content in further regulated markets supplied under the wider Evolution group licensing umbrella, including the UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority, and regulators across Romania, Spain, Denmark, Greece and multiple US states.
