A white-label offer lets an affiliate or media partner promote an operator's product under the partner's own brand name and domain, while the operator supplies everything behind the scenes: the gaming platform, the licence coverage, the game and odds content, the payment processing, and often the back-office and compliance systems.
Definition
A white-label offer lets an affiliate or media partner promote an operator's product under the partner's own brand name and domain, while the operator supplies everything behind the scenes: the gaming platform, the licence coverage, the game and odds content, the payment processing, and often the back-office and compliance systems. The partner owns the marketing, the brand identity, the front-end site and frequently the first line of customer support; the operator owns the regulated infrastructure and the risk.
Commission is typically a revenue share of the net gaming revenue the partner's players generate.
White-label sits between pure affiliation and full operation. A pure affiliate sends traffic to someone else's brand; a full operator builds and licenses everything.
A white-label partner has a branded casino or sportsbook that looks and feels like their own business, without building a platform, obtaining a licence, or integrating payments and games from scratch. This makes it attractive to media owners — content sites, communities, influencer audiences — who have distribution and want a product to match it.
In context
The economics and control trade-offs are significant. The partner depends on the provider's platform terms, uptime and roadmap; the revenue split usually favours the platform, especially at lower volumes; and the partner's access to player-level data can be limited by what the provider exposes.
Regulatory responsibility is shared in ways that vary by jurisdiction and contract — in some regimes the white-label licence holder carries most of the compliance obligation, in others the partner is treated as a co-controller — so the legal structure matters as much as the commercial one.
White-label is one option among several for turning an audience into iGaming revenue. Compared with a straightforward RevShare affiliate deal, it offers more brand control and a more integrated user experience but more operational dependency and a worse revenue share.
Compared with becoming a licensed operator, it is far faster and cheaper to launch but gives up ownership of the platform and the direct regulatory relationship. Partners choose it when they want a branded product without the capital, time and compliance burden of full operation.
Worked example
A football-tipster site with a large Telegram following launches a white-label sportsbook on its own domain and brand. The platform provider supplies odds, payments and the licence; the tipster keeps 25% of net gaming revenue from players it refers, owns the brand and the content, and handles first-line support, while the provider handles KYC, settlement and regulatory reporting.
