Job Description

bet365 is a British gambling company founded in 2000 by Denise Coates CBE, employing over 10,000 people globally and headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will join the SRE team protecting and improving the availability, performance and resilience of the systems behind bet365's global product. The role combines software engineering, automation and incident response to reduce toil, sharpen observability and strengthen service health across a complex technical estate. This role is eligible for inclusion in the company's hybrid work from home policy.

Responsibilities

Work with OpenTelemetry, logging and telemetry to surface issues faster and improve operational control.
Use AI tools, LLM platforms and coding assistants to boost productivity and support autonomous operations.
Work across SRE, development and IT Operations, embedding reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.
Lead technical work and share knowledge that lifts standards across the wider engineering community.

Requirements

Software engineering background with Python, Golang, JavaScript or a similar language.
Understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, reliability measurement and incident management.
Hands-on experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana or PagerDuty.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and Ansible.
Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems across edge, network, platform, application and origin layers.
