Playtech's GPAS unit is looking for an experienced Scala Developer to join its Gaming Platform as a Service team, a highly accessible, multi-tenant, distributed and event-driven system currently powering more than 1,000 games.

Participate in software design, development, refactoring, support and code reviews
Collaborate with platform teams and work autonomously with little supervision
Optimize the platform to achieve maximum throughput and scalability
Be proactive and go beyond expectations, sharing knowledge with the team

At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing server-side applications in Scala
Strong working knowledge of Scala (preferably Scala 3) and SBT
Solid experience with Pekko/Akka, including HTTP, Actors, Cluster, Persistence and Streams
Strong understanding of the JVM, data structures, algorithms and concurrent programming
