Trustly is a global leader in open banking payments, enabling fast, secure account-to-account transfers and establishing Pay by Bank as a new standard at checkout for merchants and consumers worldwide.

We are hiring a Lead Product Manager, Risk for our San Francisco, CA team. This role owns the strategy and execution for the risk platform that powers Trustly's payment guarantee, partnering with Data Science and Engineering on model integration and architecture.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the product direction for risk infrastructure: decisioning, model integration, rules management and real-time controls.
Work with Data Science to translate model outputs into operational product decisions, including threshold design and monitoring.
Develop deep working knowledge of system architecture and data flows to identify gaps and unblock engineering.
Understand the approval and loss tradeoff at segment level and make calls on risk controls to optimise portfolio performance.
Serve as the connective tissue between Risk, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Legal and Sales.

Requirements

4-7 years in product management with direct experience in risk, fraud or financial decisioning.
Understanding of ACH or digital payments mechanics, dispute windows and settlement timing.
Experience working alongside data science teams on model features, thresholds and monitoring.
Technically rigorous, comfortable in SQL and capable of engaging in technical design discussions.
High judgment under ambiguity, able to make consequential calls with incomplete information.
