Principal Engineer (Backend) - Kaizen Gaming

Kaizen Gaming, the team powering Betano, is one of the biggest GameTech companies in the world, operating in 20 markets with more than 2,700 Kaizeners across 3 continents.

We are hiring a Principal Engineer (Backend) for our Prague team. You will design and implement cutting-edge, scalable, high-performance backend systems, mentoring engineers of all levels.

This is a full-time hybrid position offering the chance to drive technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems
Develop clean and efficient code that drives the core technology stack
Mentor fellow engineers, fostering skill growth and best practices
Lead efforts to identify and enhance system performance
Establish company-wide best practices in partnership with Platform Engineering

Extensive experience as a Principal or Staff-level Backend Engineer
Strong track record architecting scalable, high-performance systems
Proven mentorship experience with engineers of all levels
Deep understanding of emerging technologies and their practical application
Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
